Out Off Cage……This wonderful range of unique, small-production perfumes has just launched at Pitti Fragranze 2026 — and I’m so thrilled to have contributed a small part to this with my artwork. It is a very special project of scents with a message.

What made this collaboration particularly exciting for me was being part of the scent-to-art process.

For each perfume, I followed its individual scent and its mission statement, translating both colour and image onto paper. I found myself experiencing fragrance in a completely different way — from that first spray, through the gradual unfolding of its layers on the skin, and ultimately to the olfactory nerve.

Steel. Blood. Earth. Salt. Vanilla. Saffron. Tobacco… and so many other unexpected notes.

To isolate each scent, close my eyes, and then translate what I experienced into layers of paint on paper became a truly multi-sensory journey. It was fascinating — and wonderful.

These perfumes are vegan and cruelty-free, created with a powerful message behind each one. I encourage you to visit their website and discover the pure ingredients, the stories behind the names, and the meaning behind each fragrance.
